Ultimate Hide-and-Seek a Koala Go Playground by Cedar Valley Dyslexia Services
A Koala Go Playground review

I have wanted to check out this Escher styled Playground since I first saw it, however, I only had 1 young student.
Just a brief back story about this student, she is 11, Chinese, somewhat advanced, and her parents wanted a native speaker to work on her accent. She has other English classes so as long as she is talking we seem to have the freedom for any class format. An unusual situation.
Anyhow, we were playing hide-and-seek in Koala Bear Starters, which is actually pretty good for that, and with younger students it’s perfect. This student needed something a little more challenging so I decided to get Ultimate Hide-and-Seek.

I didn’t have any time to prep for this lesson so we both entered the Playground for the first time during class. “Wow” was the feedback I got.
That first lesson we spent about 20 minutes exploring, explaining where we were, what it looked like, that sort of thing.

The next lesson I pulled up the Whiteboard slide shown above, and asked her where she wanted to explore. She chose the top of the spire and we spent our time trying to find our way up. Climb up the stairs, turn right, look for the green wall, look up, follow me, come this way, oh no I fell, you get the point.
Lots of interesting places to find and explore in this Playground, I look forward to having more students to share this with and hopefully I can find all the hidden and difficult to get to areas🤣.
As a Playground builder I appreciate all the planning and work that went into this diabolical, mind-bending, asymmetrical, chaotically beautiful creation.
