✍️🃏Editorial: Koala Bites - What you don’t see

I spend probably too much time on this newsletter every week, but, I have enjoyed and embraced the writing aspects and the topics I write about actually interest me.

After learning more of the features of the platform (Beehiiv) I realized that my old newsletters could be cut up into individual articles and posted on the web to be searchable and easier to read. So now I’m going through each issue and doing that, currently on issue 12. Usually I try and chop up one issue a day, and in the end I will have well over a hundred articles. Time flies…

Recently I decided to invest in the paid version of the platform (Beehiiv) to get some extra features and explore what the ads were like. Well, the verdict is in, I would like to thank the readers that clicked the links, sadly but expectedly, the income from the ads have not paid for the monthly subscription costs.😆

The experience of publishing Koala Bites has been a good one, and I learned a lot about newsletters. My takeaways are that this newsletter is most likely not the one that will be a huge success; however, the next one might be…Newsletters and mailing lists are powerful tools if used wisely…

I plan to continue on, at least for awhile, continue to improve my writing, and other newsletter related skills, but don’t be surprised if one Tuesday, Koala Bites is not waiting in your inbox…I have several other ideas I am working on.
