😑📘Koala Teachers Family recap
Another relatively slow week in the Facebook group
Playground
🛝🛠️Eggolf is now free!
I updated Eggolf by adding 3 balls to use and I reduced the price to $0. Learn the basic rules of golf in a mini-lesson, then play the course. You can still use eggs, but the balls are there in case you are sports equipment deprived. Enjoy!

🌹🤖Rosebud AI part 2
I didn’t have much time to play with Rosie this week. I did manage to get my game submitted and got this snazzy certificate for my efforts.

Oooh, another certificate!
I used the game in class and it worked as planned, not sure if that will always be the case (you never know with AI, it’s too human with it’s lack of consistency). The student picked out some characters, a setting and a genre (funny story), Popcorn told a little bit of the story and then gave 3 choices of how to proceed (A,B,C), after a few rounds of this, the story ended and the moral was given. Not bad.

Rosie explains what they are changing
One thing that I noticed, the text was too small, and the font was not consistent with Koala Go. So I changed that or had Rosie do it. Before Rosie does things they give you a list of the things they will change and also lists the code so, I find myself learning a tiny bit of coding. Sometimes I will just go direct to the code to tweak the numbers a bit (like the text size) instead of asking Rosie to do every little thing for me (saves time).
I will continue to change things, add things, make the finished product easier to use and better to look at. Stay tuned!

✍️🃏Editorial: Only in Vietnam?
This crazy class took place while I was working for a Vietnamese company. It started out only mildly strange as the student (let’s call her Carrot) was at a big family celebration at a restaurant and using a phone for the class, this sort of thing does happen from time-to-time with students who enjoy the classes. Carrot had to move a few times during class, as the noise got too loud and distracting.

"I'm starting to think that this is the best way to learn English."
We did finish the lesson and moved on to a progression of Wordwall games to learn vocabulary words. We started with matching, and then things got crazy, the party broke up, The whole family got on their trusty motorbike as people do in Vietnam. Dad was driving, Carrot was standing between Dad and the controls, mom and another child behind Dad. This is normal here so Carrot and I moved on to anagrams, she had to shout a bit as they drove through the city with honking horns and loud karaoke places along the route. We finished the class off with hangman just as they arrived home…I should have recorded this class…
