🛝📙Greeting Cards?
This started out as an experiment in making usable Playground Stories for my 2 year old to use on an iPad, he can only click and drag, so I took out the need to move, turn around, zoom or pan. Just load it, click and drag.
With the limited vertical space and the required angle of the pages to square them up to the camera, we are left with:
2 pages
Confetti
A GIF
For some reason that just translated into a Greeting Card to me, so here we are.
Below is a walkthrough video of a Happy Birthday card, which is not quite finished yet.
Before the Birthday Card, I worked on Knock Knock Jokes. I know, I know, the jokes are terrible, but some kids like them. Click the image below to try one, the code is 4828.
Now that the template is done it only takes a few minutes to make a new Knock Knock Card.
I have ideas for several different kinds of cards, Birthday Boy, Birthday Girl, Thank you card for attending a demo lesson, Invitations for events, and a few others.
Once the templates are done for each type it is an easy process to personalize them, which is always a nice touch.
I do need to plan ahead though because they still take several days to be approved for publication.
How many people would be interested in having Greeting Cards for their students?

🥚🐰Easter Playground
Just in time for Easter.
Another great holiday themed Playground by Dawn. I had a tour and chat yesterday.

This playground has all the Easter themed activities you would expect, egg hunts, matching pictures with names, sorting items, listening exercises, names of baby animals, reading comprehension, and even a rabbit burrow maze!

The activities are arranged in a linear fashion as you go from one to the next increasing the difficulty as you progress along the route. At the end you enter the burrow, read an Easter story and have to navigate a maze by choosing correct answers from the reading.

Eventually you reach the final reward area and a kaleidoscope of butterflies (I looked it up, that’s actually the term for a group of butterflies🤣).
Once again Dawn has made 3 Playgrounds with the exercises differentiated for different levels of student. Check them out on the Marketplace to see a list of activities for each of the 3 levels.

💧👩🏻🏫A new version of Dunk the Teacher
I made a different version of Dunk The Teacher. This one has some spelling practice for numbers that my students needed extra practice with. Maybe your students would benefit as well.
Spelling words: 11,13,14,15,16,18,20,100
Each word has an audio track of the number and the number printed on a Sticky Note.
This is the same template as the Original Dunk The Teacher, I simply changed the content.
Submissions
🙋🏽♂️🤷🏻♀️How do I submit my Playground to be featured in Koala Bites?
If you have a Playground you would like to have in this newsletter, or for that matter, anything the readers might find useful. Just click that button that says “Submissions”. That will open an email for you to describe what you would like to submit.
I like to schedule a time where I can come to your classroom and tour the Playground. Then I will do a short write-up. There is no cost for this.
